Is the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 worth it? What owners say
Owners say it carries the house through outages, flips to battery without a blip and earns its price. The catch is the bulk: at over 100 pounds it's a roll-it, don't-carry-it machine, and a handful of owners got units that failed, overheated or acted up.

The Tea
What owners praise most and complain about most, as a share of all the praise and all the complaints we read.
Owners love
“there was no lapse in the switch from electric to battery because of the pass-through tech Eco Flow uses”
“Both the bluetooth and WiFi connection and remote control worked flawlessly.”
Owners hate
“Reset it one time and it lasted for a couple of hours, then died again.”
“once the double voltage unit is connected, there was absolutely zero control of the charging/output”
Score by aspect
Weights are the same for every power station. Bars in red sit under 60.
Hype check
Experts score it 11 points higher than owners, inside the normal range.
Who should buy it, who should run
- You want backup for the fridge, the sump pump or a few circuits without a gas generator's noise and fumes.
- It will mostly live on one floor. Owners say the wheels and telescoping handle make rolling it easy.
- You like checking and scheduling power from your phone. Owners mostly praise the app.
- You need to lift it into a truck or carry it up stairs. Weight is the top owner complaint.
- You plan to run 240V through the 50A hub and recharge at the same time. Owners say the hub limits charging and switches off the front outlets.
- You can't ride out a warranty swap. Some owners had units fail, overheat or freeze, though several say EcoFlow or the store sorted it out.
Questions owners ask
- Is the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 reliable?
- Mostly, with a real minority of bad units. Reliability is the most praised thing about it, about 19% of the praise, often from owners who rode out outages on it. But about 30% of the complaints we counted describe a unit that died, overheated, froze or kept shutting down, and one owner on a solar forum says theirs smoked while idle. That owner was refunded and bought another.
- How heavy is it to move?
- Heavy. Weight is the top owner complaint, about 21% of complaints, and owners put it at over 100 pounds. Owners who keep it on one level say the wheels and handle make it easy to roll; ease of moving is about 13% of the praise.
- How long will it run a refrigerator?
- Owners report about a day and a half on a large fridge from one unit (one measured just under 36 hours), and one owner ran a fridge and freezer for 5.5 days on a pair.
- Can you charge it while it's powering things?
- On its own, owners say yes: pass-through charging works and one says the switch to battery during an outage had no lapse. With the 50A hub for 240V, owners say it's limited. Some had to unplug or switch off the hub to recharge, and the front outlets go off while the hub is connected.
